The IEEE World Congress on Services Computing has a significant historical impact, aiming to promote the global development of service computing theory and technology research. In line with the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and new development concepts, and following the guidance of the Central Economic Work Conference, the 2024 IEEE World Congress on Services Computing will be held in Shenzhen. This will be the largest and highest-level international academic conference on computing ever held in Shenzhen, and the second time the event is held in China since its first occurrence in Beijing in 2008.

The conference will be organized according to the high-quality development plans of Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City, with the goal of promoting deep integration of science and technology with the economy. It will attract internationally renowned strategic scientific and technological talents and high-level innovation and entrepreneurial teams, providing a bridge for international, professional, and high-level collaborative innovation communication for scientific and technological workers. Additionally, the conference will establish a sustainable and normalized platform for the transformation of technological achievements, facilitating the deep integration of innovation chains, industrial chains, funding chains, and talent chains. This will support the construction of the International Science and Technology Innovation Center and the Comprehensive National Science Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting the conversion of more scientific research achievements into practical applications in Shenzhen and nationwide.

The hosting of this conference will further advance the field of service computing, promote the integration of scientific innovation and economic development, and provide crucial support and impetus for technological innovation in Shenzhen and across the country.
